CV-TEC Mission Statement:

CV-TEC is the premier provider of Career And Technical Education (CTE) and Adult Literacy Education in the region. In addition, we provide an array of workforce and Adult Education courses for the community and local businesses. CV-TEC is the coordinator for the Regional Academic Summer School, hosted by one of the area schools.

CV-TEC has developed an FAA-approved, Part 147 Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Aviation Technology Program, the Plattsburgh Aeronautical Institute (PAI). This program began offering aviation instruction to its first class of secondary and adult “Technician Candidates” on September 8, 2009 at its’ new Satellite Campus (the site of the former CommutAir facilities at 518 Rugar Street, in Plattsburgh, New York). CV-TEC has responded to dramatic changes in the workplace with rigorous and exciting new career and technical education preparation programs tied to state and national skill standards. CV-TEC programs are available to all students who choose to explore or specialize in a career major as part of their Regents diploma requirements.
